CESC Announces A Gaming Index And Licenses HKEX To Offer Futures On The Index

China Exchanges Services Company Limited (CESC) today (Monday) announced it will launch its first sector index, the CES Gaming Top 10 Index (CES G10) soon, and it has licensed Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) to introduce futures on the index.

The CES G10 is designed to track the performance of the 10 largest gaming stocks listed in Hong Kong.  The index overview and constituent list are in Appendices 1 and 2. The launch date and further index details will be announced in due course.

“CESC is delighted to announce its first sector index.  This is in response to market demand and we have licensed HKEX to offer futures on the index.  The CES G10 will be the world’s only gaming index with futures,” said CESC Chief Executive Mao Zhirong. “The gaming industry has been getting more market attention in Hong Kong.  The CES G10 will serve as an objective benchmark reflecting the overall performance of this industry.”
